For the past 50 years The Huber Group has built and developed single family subdivisions, multi-family housing, office buildings, retail properties, storage facilities and youth camps throughout Florida and along the East coast of the United States of America.
In 1967, at the age of 20, Don Huber left his home state of West Virginia to start his professional career in the state of Florida. After 3 years working on projects with Walt Disney World's Buena Vista Construction Company, which included The Haunted Mansion, Space Mountain, The Hall of Presidents and Fort Wilderness, he paved his own path and became the youngest State Certified Class A General Contractor in Florida, starting Huber Design & Construction.
Through the 1970s, while building a wide range of projects for some of the best developers in the country, he honed his skills and integrated all trades into his company and completed a wide range of construction projects in both the public and private sectors. This formidable decade also gave him the opportunity to establish and nurture relationships with the best of his colleagues, governmental agencies and many national tenants.
In 1980 Huber developed his first grocery anchored shopping center. Since that time, his companies have built or developed over 100 shopping centers for retailers such as Winn Dixie, Publix, Lowe’s, Walgreens, Walmart and Target. His companies have also been the manager on some of the largest projects in Central Florida with a role in numerous contracts for Orlando International Airport, and the largest single municipal contract awarded at its time for the Orange County Courthouse.
